SCREENING PROCESS

Minimum Requirements

Before applying, candidates must meet our minimum requirements.

  • Ability to work legally in the United States
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record, unless the position does not require driving
  • Minimum of 3 years of childcare experience and/or education in the childcare field
  • At least 21 years old
  • Non-smoker
  • Passionate about working with children and willing to continue training if requested
  • Strong professional references
  • Updated resume
  • Fluent in English, with additional language fluency considered a plus
  • Willing to commit for at least one year, unless applying for a temporary position
  • Ability to pass an extensive background check

The Screening Process

  1. Step 01

    Detailed Application

    Candidates complete a detailed application so we can learn about their experience, background, availability, childcare style, and the type of role they are looking for.

    Phone Screening

    We begin with a phone screening to review the candidate's application, answer questions, and better understand their experience, communication style, and professional goals.

    In-Depth Interview

    Qualified candidates move forward to a one-on-one interview where we learn more about their strengths, childcare approach, personality, and fit for family placements.

    Reference Checking

    We personally contact previous employers and childcare-related references to understand each candidate's work ethic, reliability, experience, and performance.

    Credentials Verification

    We review important credentials such as CPR/First Aid certifications, resume details, legal work eligibility, and any required documentation for the role.

    Family Matching

    Once a candidate is fully screened, we thoughtfully match them with families based on needs, schedule, values, personality, and overall fit.

    Trial Period

    Families and caregivers have the opportunity to complete a trial period to make sure the relationship feels comfortable, supportive, and successful for everyone.
